I feel a little funny inside

OK, so things have not been going smoothly lately and I have this knot in my stomach that is telling me bad stuff is going to happen. I don't know why or when and I hope like hell I am wrong but right now I just have an impending feeling of doom! Maybe God will smile down on me and make all this go smoothly! :) Yeah right who am I trying to kid here:)

I just hate this feeling. I am in limbo. I can't do anything at the new house yet and I am done with the old house so I don't want to do anything with it. The kids have a hundred things I need to get ready for their new school year but it just feels wrong buying them now when their current school year just ended today. I mean honestly I should give them at least a small break before making them buy new backpacks right? I want to start house breaking the new puppy the right way my way but I have to wait until Saturday when I don't have to work anymore. I want to decide where the curtains should go in the new house but I just don't have a "feel" for it yet so I need a minute. I can't decide if I want to totally change the "feel" of my house since I have a chance to make a fresh start or if I should be conservative and just stick with what I have.

Holly crap I am indecisive aren't I! See what I mean. I am in limbo and I feel all funny inside because I can't stand it!

I just lost my job!

After 2 years and 8 months I just lost my job! I am so pissed I can't see straight and I think I am going to cry. Did I mention I just bought a house? Did I mention I am moving to an area where 11K new people are moving in the next two months? Did I mention I just lost my job? ARGH!!! What the hell!!!!

For those of you who are going to ask NO I did not get fired I just got told that when I move there is no position available for me to fill. The fact that for the last 8 months I have been told repeatedly that a position will be there and that it is no problem not to worry is making me even more pissed! Seriously who the hell waits until 1 week before someone is due to move to tell them that there are no openings? I am so glad I got tired of waiting for some sort of information on the new position and emailed my big boss to find out. Of course had I not emailed him I would be blissfully unaware of my impending unemployment.

Hell I bet I am not even eligible for unemployment since it isn't the companies fault I am moving. DAMNIT!

I can't believe this shit I have been busting my ass forever for this company and no one even thought it might be a good idea to let me know in advance. What do you want to bet no one ever gave the big boss my final date until I did just now? Sounds just like something my incompetent ass supervisor would do.

DAMNIT! I am so mad right now!

LAX Diva's early birthday

LAX Diva's bday is coming up while we are in the middle of packing and moving so we decided to through a pre-birthday party for her this weekend. She wanted a party at the lake and was allowed to invite 4 friends to come with us for the weekend. Unfortunately when we planned this I forgot it was father's day weekend so only one girl was able to go. I personally think that was a good thing because teenage girls are too much DRAMA when they are all together. Bug stayed home with a friend so the teenagers could "enjoy" themselves without interruption.

Anyway for once we were financially sound and able to get her the wake board she has wanted for the last two years. We were also able to get a new 2 person tube that is much nicer than our old one. We stayed in a hotel on the lake which was definitely econo class but it did the job and was gorgeous at sunset. Daddy D and I took the girls out on the boat for about 3 hours the first night and then went back to the room to chill. The next day we spent the whole day on the water and went all over the lake. The girls refused to use sunblock and got toasted. I love saying I told you so. LOL Daddy D and I used it all day and still got red in spots though so it took a little of the fun out of it.

It was a blast! Even the kids had fun! LOL usually anytime I am having fun they think it is just kinda nice but I honestly think they had a really good time. Of course they spent 3/4 of the weekend on the cell phone texting some girl who was causing them drama. I am so glad we didn't have cell phones when I was a kid. Now there is no separation between feeling something and saying it and kids just text anything and everything to people. When I was a kid I had to wait until the next day at school to talk to anyone about it so I had plenty of time to calm down in between. Not only that but if my mother had heard me say some of the stuff these kids are saying she would have slapped my jaws!

Kids have no idea how much work this shit is!

LAX Diva and Bug honestly think that our lives should revolve around shuttling them from one event to the other. I can't say that I blame them for thinking that because it is what we do most of the time but it isn't what I live for! They also seem to think that juggling everything is simple and therefore not a problem when they decide to add to the list. Everyday it is something new and it is getting old.

Here are my random questions:
Where are the other parents? Do they not have cars? Why am I constantly picking up other peoples kids and chauffeuring them around? Do you really need to go to every event? Is there some sort of conspiracy that is preventing me from getting notified more than 8 hours in advance of school events? Am I alone out here or do other people have this problem?

Here is a sample of every day:
Today at 7AM we had to pick up cookies for a Sundae Party at Bug's school. I was given a total of 24 hours notice on this one so I have no real excuse. LAX Diva's school is apparently getting out early (how did I miss that note) and she wants to go eat and go to the movies with a friend. She doesn't seem to understand why I can't answer YES or NO immediately to this. So at 8AM Daddy D was calling Bug's school to confirm she had a full day of school and then transferring money to LAX Diva's debit card. Now I just have to make sure LAX Diva makes it home in time for Bug to get out of school or Bug will be standing on the curb. Oh yeah the kid LAX Diva is doing this with needs a ride home and may or may not be needing a ride back to our house for a sleep over.

Wanna bet this doesn't work out and becomes another "Mommy Fail."

Patience of Job

Some days I wonder if I have any patience at all. I mean I honestly feel like I am a patient person but at times I just want to throw my hands up in the air and scream at people. Seriously is it that difficult to do your chores or remember that you aren't the only person in the house?

I know I am somewhat anal about my house being picked up and that it is only ever dirty if I am depressed or ill. Having said that I don't ask much from the people who live with me in the way of house cleaning. They are basically just required to pick up after themselves, do laundry on occasion, load and unload the dishwasher, and keep their rooms organized. Now before someone goes all crazy on me lets just say organized means bra's in the bra drawer, hanging clothes on hangers not the floor, and shoes in the closet. My philosophy is if you don't leave it laying there you won't have to listen to me complain about it later. Just put up what you get out and life will be great.

So yesterday I come home and the house smells like finger nail polish remover and I am instantly pissed off. First because I know Bug has it out upstairs without supervision. Second because LAX Diva who is supposed to be watching Bug is on the back porch and probably has no idea what Bug is doing. Third because Daddy D and I both hate the smell of nail polish remover. Fourth I may have been a bit snippy anyway. Fifth I have lost tons of linens and wood furniture to finger nail polish and finger nail polish remover.

I open the dishwasher and guess what the clean dishes are still in it. I look downstairs and clean clothes are piled all over the furniture. I look at the dog bowls and they are empty. I look at my sink and the dirty pots are still in it. Then I look over and see the puppy that is never supposed to be unsupervised eating my carpet!

Unfortunately Job totally stood me up and therefore I lost my patience. I take no credit for this and feel that Job may need to issue me a written apology. Job may also owe one to my kids but hey they screwed up in the first place so I won't hold him to it. Since I am trying to be a better parent I didn't yell I just reminded them that they had better shape up or I would be implementing punishments.

Maybe I owe Job an apology.....I did have enough patience to think about what I said before I said it.

Am I an addict?

I think I am an addict. Webster defines an addict as: to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively. So I am pretty sure I am an addict and there is no way in hell I am going to go on TV and do something like "The OCD Project." The other problem is I am having a hard time deciding exactly what I am addicted to. I have so many things that I think it is probably best to list them.
1. Glee (watched online because Daddy D hates it)
2. Blogs
3. my favorite online military wife support group
4. Rules of Engagement
5. NCIS
6. Groupon
7. Yelp
8. Diet Coke

Honestly I could keep going but then it would just start getting ridiculous and I might lose readers. LOL  As you have noticed several of them are related to the computer. I found out yesterday I may not be able to get DSL in my new home and I honestly thought I was going to fall over in a dead faint. I have had DSL for years people I don't even remember what it is like not to have DSL. OK now I am upset again BREATH BREATH BREATH!!!!!

So my question is should I quit cold turkey or try to wean myself off some of them?

I can do this right?
